What is Self-Serve?
LollyServe enables your customers to order restaurant menu items themselves; for example through a food-ordering kiosk, or a hand-held device.
This flexible and bespoke software has been developed specifically for restaurants and fast food outlets in the hospitality industry.
How does Self-Service work?
Customers place their menu order via a touch screen. This generates an order number, which is delivered directly to the kitchen to freshly prepare the food and the order is then generated for the customer to collect. The system takes full payment with a high level of security. We know from customer feedback that ordering through LollyServe is easy and intuitive.
Self-Service puts your customers fully in control of the food choices they make, whilst freeing up your staff to work on providing great customer service.
Is Self-Serve expensive, or economical?
LollyServe has been priced to be affordable for restaurants and takeaways of all sizes.
It can run on a simple tablet, handed to your customer once they are seated; or it can power a large interactive kiosk – it’s your choice.
Until now, due to high costs, self-service technology has been focused on the larger players. We have worked hard to build an entry level solution which integrates EPoS payments and self-serve – supporting smaller hospitality providers in their mission to compete on a level playing field.
Will Self-Serve mean I can reduce staffing levels?
We believe there will always be a requirement for staff interaction at the point of sale, but technology is evolving fast.
We’ve designed LollyServe to be able to operate in any restaurant environment, to help you to maximise your sales opportunities and savings.
We hope that our automated EPOS system will enable hospitality providers to redirect time and resources to other areas of their business – improving their offering and maximising footfall.
Will Self-Serve future-proof my business?
Today’s customers expect prompt service, when and where they want. Choices are vast, the pace of living is fast; now more than ever it’s important to add value and to build loyalty with those customers.
The next generation are coming into the purchasing cycle and they are looking to purchase in a different way. Self-Service point of sale technology addresses this new dynamic of shopping and the desire to browse and purchase in ones’ own time, and it creates truly personalised service.
Why should you be considering self-serve for your hospitality business?
There are a whole range of benefits when it comes to using Self-Serve. First and foremost – for most businesses – it offers great ROI, as a result of increased footfall.
Self-Serve also provides better utilisation of staff hours – allowing employee to focus on other key areas, such as the kitchen, resulting in a better overall customer experience.
What types of Self-Serve unit are available?
When it comes to selecting the right hardware or unit to support Self-Serve software there is a whole range to choose from, including hand-held, kiosk and wall-mounted units. Hospitality providers should be focusing on these core areas when making their selection:
Is it simple to use (for customers and staff)?
Does it provide superfast payments?
Does it offer tailored orders to help eliminate wastage?
Will the system put the full order process in your customers’ hands and help to generate loyalty?
How can I rapidly implement Self-Serve?
For small grab-and-go outlets that decide to launch self-serve, we recommend they decide on their menu set and provide their pictures/photos. We can then turn a system around in as little as 10-14 days.
What should I spend?
Spend only what you can. However, putting forward a decent investment towards the right equipment will deliver a better outcome than going for the cheapest, or simplest looking, option.
Do your homework, and make sure you understand the small print. Consider scaleable products, so your investment will be sustainable and grow with your business.
How can you guarantee ROI?
You have to do your numbers right from the outset. Work out what you need, and what you can afford to spend. Make sure you are working with a partner who not only understands both requirements fully, but that will support you in making the best use of all the great benefits self-serve can have.
