Championing Those Who Champion Others: Lolly at Women of the Year 2026

Yesterday, members of the Lolly team had the privilege of attending the prestigious Women of the Year Lunch & Awards 2026, where we were proud to be co-sponsors of the Campaigning Champion Award. The event brought together an incredible group of women whose dedication, determination and commitment continue to have a lasting impact on communities, industries and causes across the world.

As a business, we are fortunate to work with organisations and individuals who are passionate about creating positive change. Supporting Women of the Year felt like a natural fit, giving us the opportunity to celebrate those who champion others, challenge the status quo and drive meaningful progress. For more than 70 years, Women of the Year has recognised and celebrated extraordinary women and their achievements, inspiring generations in the process.

Representing Lolly on the day were Claire James, Account Manager, and Jane Pople, Head of Marketing, who joined hundreds of guests in recognising the achievements of women from all walks of life. From inspiring personal stories to remarkable professional accomplishments, the afternoon served as a powerful reminder of the difference individuals can make when they dedicate themselves to a cause they believe in.

One of the highlights of the event for us was seeing the Campaigning Champion Award presented to Lindsey Burrow, Annie Moody, Kathy Weir and Joanne Slater. Through their tireless campaigning and advocacy, they have helped raise awareness, drive change and provide support for those affected by motor neurone disease and their families. Their determination and commitment to creating a lasting impact in the face of immense personal challenges perfectly embodied the spirit of the award, and we were incredibly proud to play a small part in recognising their achievements.

Throughout the afternoon, we heard story after story of women making an extraordinary difference in their communities, professions and wider society. Every finalist and winner was deserving of recognition, and each left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to be in the room.

The day concluded with what was undoubtedly one of the most moving moments of the event: the presentation of the Women of Courage Award to Gisèle Pelicot, presented by Sienna Miller. While every award winner was truly inspirational, this final recognition resonated deeply across the room. Gisèle Pelicot's extraordinary bravery in speaking out has sparked important conversations around the world and inspired countless others. It was a powerful and emotional conclusion to an afternoon dedicated to celebrating courage, resilience, leadership and the positive change that women continue to drive every day.

The event was made even more special by sharing it with customers and partners, including Charlotte Wright, Director of CSR & Food Strategy at Elior, and Laura Kendrick, Chief Information Officer at Elior. We are grateful for their support and for helping introduce Lolly to this exceptional event. It was a pleasure to celebrate alongside individuals and organisations who are equally passionate about creating positive change and championing people who make a difference.

We left feeling inspired, humbled and grateful to have been involved in such a special occasion. Congratulations to all the winners, finalists and nominees, and thank you to the Women of the Year team for delivering a memorable event that continues to shine a spotlight on remarkable women and their achievements.
