Employee Spotlight: Vicky Irons, Project Manager
Each month we take a closer look at one of Lolly's fantastic team members and find out more about how they help drive Lolly's success. This month the spotlight is on Project Manager, Vicky Irons.
How long have you been with Lolly?
3 Years.
What does your job entail? What are the highlights?
Being a Project Manager for Lolly, I am working with clients on a daily basis, planning their installations, writing project plans, conducting meetings, and working with multiple teams within Lolly. I enjoy working with the Ops teams on site with our bigger projects and events when helping install Lolly software solutions. Once all has been installed, the client continues with their go live, which is a great feeling of accomplishment upon reflection of all the work that goes into each project. I have really enjoyed working with many prestigious clients, and I continue to enjoy what I do. I think being in my role within Lolly allows me to meet many clients and work with all the teams internally, so I gain great working relationships, which helps me to deliver our projects.
Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
My Mum and Dad both achieved a lot through their careers and worked hard to have the life they have now. I have always been shown that hard work pays off, and my natural instinct to help people, through conversation and problem solving, has led me down the line from Customer Service when I was younger into Project Management.
What are you most proud of achieving during your time at Lolly so far?
In 2024 alone I landed 134 projects for Lolly within the year. Amongst working on some fantastic projects with our clients, I’d say that’s a pretty cool accomplishment!
Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?
I would like to see natural growth in my role within the business and move through Senior PM up to Director of Projects in five years. I think my knowledge I have gained across the company, our clients, and ongoing projects is crucial to my position within Lolly.
What are your outside interests and hobbies?
I love sport! And I can be extremely competitive! Many within the business know of my ‘golf era’, but many of you reading this will not. My handicap is 1 and growing up I played for Hertfordshire County and England for many years before moving to Spain to accomplish even more. Nowadays, I like a quiet life even though I have 2daughters, a dog, and a kitten (the newest edition to the family). I am now in my ‘wellbeing era’, as I enjoy running, reading, going to concerts, and something you wouldn’t know is that I am a Reiki Master, Gong Practitioner, and a Space Clearer in my spare time.
