Lolly’s One-Year Roundup With Braintree Area Foodbank

Supporting A Lifechanging Cause Through Compassionate Collaboration

A Year Of Community Impact

Lolly proudly partnered with Braintree Area Foodbank from August 2024 to August 2025, with a view to make a positive impact within the local community.

Throughout their twelve-month partnership, Lolly supported the foodbank by providing monthly donations of essential shopping items, ensuring each drop-off catered toward the foodbank’s specific list of in-demand items, which change on a month-by-month basis. Lolly’s company-wide support also extended to financial contributions, with a minimum donation promise of £250 per month, plus any additional donations given by internal staff members.

This collaboration wasn’t just about giving - it was about making a real difference. Together, Lolly and Braintree Area Foodbank have shown how local businesses and charities can unite through a shared objective - to help thousands of individuals and families that rely on its services.

Support And Donation Growth Throughout 2025

In 2025, Lolly’s support gained momentum. By the end of Q1, the company’s contributions had already made a meaningful difference, having totalled £1,776.25 (supplemented by Gift Aid). This amount funded 2,753 individual meals, which fed 300 people for three days each.

By Q2, Lolly’s donation total rose to £2,613.75 (including £43.75 in Gift Aid), an increase of £837.50 from the previous quarter. This total bought 4,000 individual meals, which supported 450 people for three days each.

Looking at the broader picture, the foodbank estimates that 9,600 people will be fed by the end of 2025 with the current rate of donations. While 2024 saw 11,800 people supported through generous donations, the collective efforts from Lolly and others are helping ensure no one in need is left behind.

Exceeding Partnership Expectations

At the end of Lolly’s partnership, the team were delighted to share they had raised a grand total of £3,070, equating to 102% of their fundraising target.

What began as a heartfelt commitment to support the local community quickly evolved into a powerful demonstration of how consistent giving can benefit charities that need the support.
