Dave Gardener, key account manager at Lolly, looks back at his time attending Gather & Gather Live 2024
I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at the recent nationwide Gather & Gather Live events - showcasing the Lolly portfolio.
Gather & Gather is focused on helping its clients to maximise the potential of food in the workplace, and as one of their partners naturally we share the same values. We appreciate the need for increased productivity and improving performance, which is why we aim to deliver the best hospitality customer experiences, using our cloud-based app and software products. At the end of the day, it’s about informing consumers, so they can make better decisions to help them manage their lifestyles.
Alongside the array of other stands present, we demoed our entire integrated portfolio, from self-serve tills to robot waiters, age verification and kitchen management systems. It was great to meet so many new faces from across the industry, and to showcase what we are all about. Naturally, our robot waiters were the centre of attention, but so too was our new SnapServe unit, which is based around cognitive AI learning– capturing the image of the dish being purchased and rapidly running it through the till. Times are changing… and fast!
This was a real coming together of the impressive Gather & Gather offering, with a focus around food, technology, allergens, sustainability – and overall greener living. I am in awe of the amazing organisational skills that go into the events, and the interest they receive!

During her time at Lolly, she learned valuable tips in how to navigate industry-standard marketing tools and discovered more about what a role in marketing entails.
This year’s CUBO Summer Conference, held on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th June at Northumbria University, served as a dynamic platform for sharing best practices, exploring transformative technologies, and celebrating excellence in the Further and Higher Education sector.
For food businesses across the UK, food labelling has always been an important part of maintaining trust and safety. But following a tragic incident in 2016, the conversation around allergens became much more urgent.
