The pioneering point-of-sale software house, Lolly, will be launching its new cloud-based school meal system at this year's Restaurant Show. The solution has been designed to support education providers in quickly and effectively validating student accounts against allocated meal allowances.
The new school meal system allocates a specific monetary amount to each student, which seamlessly interfaces with the Lolly Point of Sale (PoS) system. The process for the student is simple: they use their ID card at the PoS to check their balance or redeem their allowance instantly.
For hospitality providers, the system allows them to utilize existing investments in contactless card technology. Furthermore, the system enables discreet interaction between the student and the till operator. This anonymity is a vital feature, helping to remove the stigma often associated with free school meals.
To ensure security and efficiency, student eligibility and daily allowances can be managed in real-time, significantly reducing the risk of fraud. A web-based administration panel can be accessed anytime and anywhere to ensure effective monitoring and management of the entire estate.
Peter Moore, CEO at Lolly, said:
"We're excited by the potential of this launch and what it will bring to the education sector. We are now developing it to offer additional facilities and rules, such as promoting healthy eating. It also has the ability to support loyalty schemes, which could potentially open up a whole new market."
Lolly will be exhibiting its full suite of products on Stand GM28 at The Restaurant Show.
